I received a phone call from the doctor on call yesterday (Sunday)about my test results. Everything is in the normal range for my blood pressure. No pre-eclampsia for me! Keith and I were both very relieved. I have to go back to the doctor today for a BP check. They are taking excellent care of LD and I with all of these precautions. I feel like we're in the best hands.
Keith was wonderful this weekend. He wouldn't let me lift a finger! I felt so bad for him on Friday. I called him from the doctor's office to tell him what was going on and the second I heard his voice I started crying. I was scared. I didn't mean to worry him and he needed to know what was going on. When I called him back to tell him everything is OK and I was on my way home, he let out the biggest sigh of relief. He was pretty wound up while he was waiting for me to call back. He came home from work on Friday and made us milkshakes and ran a bunch of errands this weekend. He takes such good care of me.
Update #2.
I got back from the doctor a little bit ago. I had elevated BP again. It's weird b/c I took it before I left and it was normal. It skyrocketed when I was there. It came down a little bit after I layed down for awhile. They did an NST again to check on LD. Dr. Kramer explained it to me on Friday, but I was a little distracted and worried, so Dr. Lee's explaination of an NST made more sense today. He said they're checking the placenta and making sure LD is having good brain activity. If his heartrate was flat, there would be an issue and they'd induce. He was sleeping, so it was flat. Dr. Lee took a thing to send a wave to him to wake him up. He and his heartrate jumped so that was good. He got the hiccups after the zap, so that was pretty cute. Poor little guy was startled.
Dr. Lee said that I still don't have Pre-eclampsia. That's good. I have what looks like pre-hypertension. The added weight and stress of pregnancy is getting to me. I'm still supposed to take it easy and they want me to come in more frequently. I go back again on Friday. I'm allowed to keep working but I have to lay down and take it really easy when I get home. He said no shopping trips or doing a lot of busy stuff. I also have a list of symptoms I'm on the lookout for and have to call immediately if they develop.
Again, I'm really happy they're being so precautious with all of this. We're in good hands.
