He rolled over twice last Friday. I think they were flukes though because he hasn't done it since. He was doing tummy time and got up really high. He lost his balance and the first time rolled to the right and the second time to the left. The look on his face was priceless when he realized that he was on his back!
We went to Children's Mem. Hospital for a clinic visit on Tuesday. It went well. We met with the entire Hemophilia team so we were there for 3 1/2 hours. We got all of our questions we have for now answered. We learned a ton and are so relieved that we're in such wonderful hands!! One of the benefits of this whole thing is that a Physical Therapist is part of the Hemophilia team. She gave us some great ways to help Kyler develop on schedule and grow super strong. She told us that his head control is as good as a 5 month old and even some 7 month olds that she's worked with. Everyone thought that Kyler is doing great. We go back on September 23.
At our appointment in September we're going to do the genetic testing to see if I am a carrier for Hemophilia. They'll take mine and Kyler's blood and send it to a lab in California. They told us that 80% of Moms are carriers. If I am a carrier, Leslie will need to get tested. If she's a carrier, my female cousins should be tested. It would be strange that none of my mom's 3 brother's have Hemophilia, but not impossible. They each would've had a 50% chance when they were born and could've all gotten lucky if it is in the family. My mom and her sister both have 2 girls and my cousin has a girl, so it's very possible that it wouldn't have shown up until Kyler since he's the only boy from a female in my mom's family. Crazy huh?
I go back to work at the end of July. I'm not looking forward to it. I love all of my time with Kyler and I'm really going to miss it. I'm trying to spend as much time as possible with him now. I know he's going to be in great hands with Patricia, I just wish I could be with him all the time. I'm kind of addicted to that little guy! =)
I hope you're all doing well. Take care.
