Wow, where has the time gone! I can't believe Kyler is 4 weeks old already. He's amazing. Keith and I are having a blast with our little guy. He has his fussy moments (hours) and definitely some really stinky diapers, but all of the sweet little coos and smiles make up for them, times a million!!! He is so strong and smart. If I lay back a little on the couch while I'm holding him, he already tries to stand up or crawl up me. He also turns to look at us if we're talking to him. He pushes up on his hands and holds his head up really high already when we do tummy time. He loves it! He grabs onto our fingers really tight when he's about to get upset. He's only 4 weeks old!!! Some of the things he does shouldn't be done until 3-4 months according to our books.
I'm bringing him for a doctor appointment on June 10. He's going to get his first round of shots. I'm not looking forward to that. I talked to our Hemophilia specialist and I have a couple of instructions for the doctor when they give him the shots. Put pressure on it for 2-5 minutes afterwards and use the smallest gague needle possible. 99% of Hemophiliacs are fine when they get their vaccines. We are taking Kyler back to Children's on June 24th for a consultation with the specialists. We're going to meet with them pretty regularly so we can learn as much as possible before he moves onto the next phase. We want to meet with them before he becomes more mobile so we can expect things and hopefully prevent bumps and bruises that might send us to the ER.
I'm really enjoying all of the time I get to spend with Kyler. It's going to be terrible when I have to go back to work. I will admit that sometimes I miss regular adult contact though. When Keith gets home from work, he can't wait to pick Kyler up. They're pretty much attached to each other from the time he gets home from work until the time we go to bed. It's so cute!! Not to mention that it's nice for me to get a little break and I can run a couple of errands if I need to.
I hope you're all doing well!!
