Hi! I decided we should start a baby blog for little baby Loeffler. For those who don't know, he or she is due May 8, 2008. We have so many friends and family out of town, I thought it would be fun to keep everyone updated on how we're doing.
As of today, I'm 16 weeks, 5 days pregnant. So far things have been going pretty well. I was really nauseous the first 13-14 weeks, but that has subsided significantly since then. All of our doctor appointments (3) have been good. The heartbeat has been strong when we heard it last. Dr. Kramer has used "excellent" and "perfect" a lot, so that always makes me feel good. We go see her again this Friday, Nov. 30, so I'm sure I'll have an update after that.
I need to get a flu shot though. I got hit with the stomach flu over this past weekend and it was horrible. I haven't had much of an appetite for a few days and I'm finally starting to get my personality back. Poor Keith had to deal with sick Julie. He's such a good guy and didn't complain at all when I only took 5 slurps of the soup he ran out to get me and made for me. Nor did it frazzle him when he had to constantly find my water because I kept leaving it in the bathroom, bedroom, downstairs, den, etc... I'm a little nervous about the flu shot since I've never gotten one in the past, but if it'll help prevent me getting sick like I've been, I'll do anything!!! So far Keith hasn't gotten sick and I hope it stays that way.
Dr. Kramer should be telling us at our appointment on Friday that we'll get to find out the sex of baby Loeffler right around Christmas. Our appointments have been every 4 weeks, which puts us at finding out on Dec. 28. I'm really hoping they let me schedule it a week earlier for Dec. 21 so we can tell everyone at Christmas. We've had so many people telling us they think we're having a girl. I had a feeling last weekend while I was taking a bath that this baby is a boy!! We'd be so excited with either, but I can't wait to know for sure!! I'll post an update once both sets of parents have been told.

I have had a feeling all along that you're having a boy!
Next year is the year of the boy all of my pregnant friends (and there are MANY) are having boys in the spring. Therefore I think you will too
