We have a date!!

If everything goes according to plan, this baby will be born on June 8 around 8:00 am.  By "the plan", I mean that my blood pressure stays good and doesn't go crazy high like it did at the end of my pregnancy with Kyler.  It also means that this little guy stays put and I don't go into labor on my own before June 8th.

We're really excited!!  In 9 weeks 6 days, we'll be holding our second son.  I'll be able to tickle his sweet little feet that have been dancing and pushing on my bladder.  :-)

Wow!  We have a lot to do before his arrival!  His room is painted and the furniture is in boxes in there.  Keith is going to put it together this weekend.  I have laundry to sort and wash.  We have to put the car seat base in the car and bring up the newborn toys from the basement.  I have to put together my hospital bag, but I"ll probably do it as we get closer.

Last weekend we went to Baby's First Images and had a 3D ultrasound.  He looks a lot like Kyler did when we went for his.  He kept putting his hands (and foot) up in his face, so his pictures weren't as clear as Kyler's were.  I think he was tired and we were keeping him awake.  It was still a lot of fun and I'm glad we did it.  It was a 1/2 hour appointment.  After 3 minutes, Kyler had enough and was ready to go.  He started playing with the blinds, bounced from chair to chair, etc... It was actually pretty funny.

Now to talk a little about Kyler.  We have his 3rd birthday party booked.  We're taking him to Pump It Up in Gurnee.  It's one of those inflatable places where the kids run around, jump, slide, etc...  He's going to love it!!

He's been carrying around his glowing, singing seahorse and calling it his baby.  He named him the baby's name and takes care of him.  One minute he'll lay it down on the couch, cover it with a blanket and make sure it has a soft pillow under it's head.  He kisses it and tells it he loves it.  Then, a few minutes later, he's carrying it upside down and drops it on it's head.  Needless to say, he won't be carrying his real baby brother.  We'll sit him in Kyler's lap (with one of us sitting next to him) and take the obligatory big brother holding the baby picture, but I think that's it.  We'll let him get us diapers, clothes, help with baths, etc... to help take care of his baby brother.

Well, that's all for now.  Take care.
Here's a couple of 3D pics.
