Keith and I needed a little break. He and I decided to go to Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan, WI (about 15 min. away from Lake Geneva) this past Friday - Sunday (Jan. 22-24). Keith took Friday off to spend the day with Kyler. I worked from home, so I got to pop in a few times to see them too. When I was done working, we gave Kyler factor. My parents came after that to stay at our house & watch Kyler for the weekend. We kissed Kyler good bye & put him down for his nap.
Keith I had a great weekend. We had pizza at a wonderful place (Next Door Pub) in Lake Geneva. We also ate at Ristorante' Brissago in the Grand Geneva & had pretty much the best meal we've ever eaten! We relaxed, we slept in, we talked, etc... Although, most of our talking was about Kyler. It was still really nice & very much needed.
Kyler had a great time with my parents. My sister came over too. It sounds like they did a lot of fun stuff. They had pizza, played, danced, watched lots of TV, spoiled him, snuggled...everything grandparents get to do when the parents go out of town. :)
We came back on Sunday (today). Keith & I feel totally refreshed & we enjoyed every minute with our little StinkerBean. Our next trip is in April. We're taking Kyler to Arkansas to hang out with some friends for a long weekend. It will be our first time with him on a plane. Wish us luck!!!

Julie, so glad to hear you and your husband enjoyed dinner here at the Grand Geneva. I agree, the Brissago dining experience is like no other. I would like to invite you to come back and take in the entire Grand Geneva property.. . from our newly renovated guestrooms, our spa, golf, a family carriage ride . . . We even have a waterpark hotel on campus that I am sure Kyler would absolutely love. Please let me know when you can sneak away again as my guest. Amy Idsvoog, Director of Sales & Marketing
Wow Amy, I'm really annoyed by your comment. This is a blog about my family. This is a blog I can keep relatives & friends up-to-date about my son, our experiences & his health situations. This is not a marketing blog or a place I would expect to receive propositions to enhance your business. My husband & I are huge fans of the Grand Geneva, as we've stayed there numerous times. We've also stayed at Timber Ridge & were actually talking this past weekend about when we can bring our son. However, now I'm not so sure we want to come back since this was handled in such a poor manner. If you wanted to intrude on a personal blog, at least offer me a deal on a package or something. My email is julie.loeffler@gmail.com if you'd like to discuss this further.
