Thanksgiving

We went up to Green Bay to see my parents on Thanksgiving Day. Kyler was really good in the car. He slept for about 2 hours out of the whole 2 hrs. 45 minutes! We had a really good meal and had a lot of fun with my parents. We got to see a few people, including my maternal Grandma & Grandpa Belongea.

On Friday he woke up pretty cranky and very congested. I called the pediatrician on call in Illinois. She took over an hour to call back. In the meantime, Kyler woke up from a nap with difficulty breathing and he was screaming. He kept saying, "Help". I had just gotten out of the shower, so Keith and my Dad drove him to the hospital. I quickly got ready, grabbed his Factor & port supplies, just in case, and my Mom took me to the hospital to be with my boys. I was freaking out thinking he was bleeding into his lungs. After Keith, my Dad & Kyler left, the pediatrician called and planted the idea of Croup in my head. If he coughs violently, he could bleed into his lungs, and that's very serious. My poor Mom & sister had to deal with the wrath of freaking out Julie. Lucky them - (sarcasm).

When I got to the hospital, the doctor was coming into the room. He checked Kyler out and listened to his lungs. He has 2 ear infections (outer) and some drainage from a cold. That's what was causing the difficulty breathing. No bleeds, no problems with his lungs. 24 hours with the antibiotic and Kyler was acting like himself again. HUGE RELIEF!!! I'm just so happy he didn't have a bleed or it wasn't something horrible like the flu or croup.

The rest of the weekend was nice. We came home on Saturday. On Sunday we relaxed a little, Keith & I finished decorating inside & outside for Christmas, then Keith & I got a little bit of shopping done & had dinner out while Keith's parents spent some time with Kyler.

It went by way too fast. Now we have to get ready for Christmas!!

Here are a few pictures. He was really hard to take pictures of. He didn't want to sit with anyone.

Cheering during the Packers game.

Jumping on Grandma & Grandpa Freeman's bed w/Papa.
