Kyler got his first bloody nose. He was dancing in our living room with Keith and lost his footing. He fell flat on his face and got a bloody nose & bit his lip. I scooped him up and Keith tried to get the bleeding to stop. There was blood all over Kyler's hands, face and my neck & shirt. It stopped after a couple of minutes. I had to sit down b/c it made me woozy when I realized what happened and looked down at the blood. Kyler looked at his hand and said, "Ewwww!" That was really cute and helped the mood.
We talked to the Hematologist and she told us to look for swelling & the bleeding to start up again. Neither happened, so he didn't need Factor.
My parents came to see us and we had a great time with them. Keith and I went on a date night while they watched Kyler. On Sunday we let Kyler go in his little pool. He had a blast! It was a really nice visit.
While they were here, Kyler bonked his head on a chair. He crawled under it and on his way out, he hit it pretty good. He has a decent size bruise on the side of his head. He didn't cry very much and he doesn't have any signs of a head bleed. We're keeping a very close eye on it.
He really is our little bruiser. Only 14 more days until he gets his port. If he had his port, we would've just infused an extra dose of Factor for the nose bleed and the head bump. It will be so nice once he has it. I think we'll both be able to breathe a sigh of relief when he has his port!
