Almost 3rd Trimester!

As of Thursday, I'll be in my 3rd trimester! Woohoo!! That means we're getting super close to meeting our son! Time is flying and we have so much to do! I've heard I'll get more achy and probably sleep a lot less. It'll be so worth it the second we get to hold our Little Dude. This second trimester has been a breeze, so I probably should feel uncomfortable for a bit to get the true pregnancy experience. ;) A few aches and pains here and there, but nothing unbearable. I bought a pregnancy yoga DVD that I'm going to start doing tonight, so hopefully that will help with pains and help strengthen my body for labor.

We did have a bit of a scare this past Friday night. I wasn't feeling well on Thursday and Friday. I called in to work on Thursday and left early on Friday. It was a pretty bad cold. Around 8:30 pm I started feeling really crampy in my lower abdomen. I also had a bit of diarrhea (sorry, TMI but it's what was happening). It got really painful to the point where standing hurt. Everything I've read has told me that lower abdominal cramping and the body cleansing itself could mean pre-term labor. We paged the doctor on call. That 20 minutes of waiting for him to call back was the longest 20 minutes of my life. Keith was so good about calming me down, but I could tell he was nervous too. I kept saying, Little Dude can't be coming yet, it's too early.

When the doctor called back, he seemed really calm. He asked how active I've been. I told him not very since I was sick. After I described everything that was going on, he told me it sounded like I was dehydrated. If I wasn't feeling better after getting more liquid in me, I was supposed to call back and possibly go to the hospital for an IV. PHEW, I'll take that over going into labor at 26 weeks anyday!!! I chugged 40oz of water and slowly started to feel better. I had a bit of Round Ligament Pain (ligaments near lower abdomen/bikini line stretching) all day on Saturday, but not the cramping I had on Friday night.

I thought I was drinking enough, but obviously I wasn't. I currently have a 1.5L bottle of water on my desk. I'm not letting that happen again!

On a happier note, Keith finished painting Little Dude's room. It's so cute!! The room used to be bright red (think the color of Mickey Mouse's pants) and white. Of course I have some pictures of what it looks like so far. The wall picture is darker then it is in real life. The beige matches the sand color and the blue matches the water in the comforter perfectly. I also took pictures of his clothes so far and the bassinette. Reese had to walk in and sniff it just as I was taking the picture. Enjoy!

Take care everyone.
